Tabitha Allen has a not-so-secret crush on Parker "Shy" Cage. Shy thinks he knows the path Tabby's on and it isn't a good one. So he decides to teach her a lesson to lead her to the right path. Unfortunately, he was wrong and his actions wound Tabby, breaking her heart. It's Tabby who then teaches Shy a lesson about casting judgment and Shy Cage learns what it feels like to be invisible. But when tragedy strikes and Tabby's heart is broken again, Shy does what he can in the background to help. Trying to forget her heartbreak, Tabby finds herself in danger. To keep it secret from her biker family, the Chaos Motorcycle Club, she calls Shy to rescue her. But when she lets him back in, she gets much more than she bargained for

Thoughts

I had previously read the Motorcycle Man by Kristen Ashley, so when I heard that she was creating a new series focusing on the Chaos Motorcycle Club, that was me sold.

This book focuses on Shy, who is known as the player of the club, and Tabby, the leader's daughter. Tabby has feelings for Shy, but he pushes her away, and it isn't until Tabby faces a personal tragedy that we do start to see the beginnings of their relationship.

I did like this book, I loved finding out more about the characters that had been introduced in Motorcycle Man, and seeing more of other favourite characters.

I enjoyed the relationship between Tabby, and Shy. Sometimes in romance books, these can become very soppy and just stupid. I found that the relationship moved along at a normal pace, they were friends first before anything happened between them.

I will forewarn you that this story does have some explicit scenes in the book between the main characters. These can become hot and heavy, but they aren't littered all the way through the book and flow into the narrative very well.

Overall a good book and I have already read the next in the series (so keep an eye out for the review coming in the near future).
