Thoughts

I am a big fan of Agatha Christie, and when this book came up as being eligible to read for the Around the Year in 52 Books challenge, that was it.

Crooked House is a standalone book and follows Charles who meets Sophia Leonides in Egypt. On his return, he is asked to help investigate the death of Sophia's grandfather.

I did enjoy this book and but I did find that the book was quite slow, and the investigation wasn't really mentioned much, there was more focus on Charles and Sophia's relationship, and it just felt that Charles was wanting to find out who did it so he could marry Sophia.

This wasn't one of my favourite Agatha Christie books, but the writing did flow well even if it was quite a slow-going book.

Overall, a good book, and if you are a fan of Agatha Christie, one that is good for a read.
