Website Description (Crowded Souls.com)

‘Apart from the fact that Leila Albergo was born in England, she was just like any other seventeen-year-old U.S. high schooler. That was until, by a dark twist of fate, she develops supernatural powers.

Leila is convinced that her feelings for school heartthrob Luca Jareau will remain unnoticed until he turns out to be her greatest ally. With his help, she must learn to control her magic and conceal the truth from everyone else, in order to protect the people she loves.

Leila also realises that some friends are not always who they seem to be and that staying alive at any cost, can sometimes be too high a price to pay.’

Thoughts

I picked this up from the bookstore on a whim (basically it was a cover buy), and the plot sounded really good.
The story revolves around Leila who moves to the US with her mother after her father was tragically killed, while there she meets Luca.

I liked the premise of this and found it to be really well written, and the story was really easy to follow.

I loved the relationship between Leila and Luca, Leila finds out that Luca has powers, and he starts to teach her how to control hers, but this goes awry when she heads to London to look for her father's killers.

Overall a really good book if you are wanting a quick read.
