A Boy Called Christmas is a tale of adventure, snow, kidnapping, elves, more snow, and an eleven-year-old boy called Nikolas, who isn't afraid to believe in magic.Thoughts
This story follows Nikolas, who lives in Finland with his father Joel, who goes on an expedition to the far north with a hunter and leaves Nikolas in the care of his Aunt Carlotta.I really enjoyed this audiobook and thought it was such a great listen especially during the Christmas period. I found myself laughing out loud through this book in places, and just loving these characters.
I found myself just devouring this audiobook (and at nearly 4 hours and 30 mins), it was such a quick listen (I finished it in 3 days). The writing just flowed so well and was so easy to follow, and with Stephen Fry at the helm of this book, he was just fantastic as a narrator.
I loved Nikolas, as well as Mika (and his love of cheese), they were just such fantastic characters and written so well. I also have to mention The Truth Pixie, who was for me one of the stand out characters of the book.
Overall, a great listen for Christmas, and I will carry on with the next in the series.
