Now that the ley lines around Cabeswater have been woken, nothing for Ronan, Gansey, Blue, and Adam will be the same. Ronan, for one, is falling more and more deeply into his dreams, and his dreams are intruding more and more into waking life. Meanwhile, some very sinister people are looking for some of the same pieces of the Cabeswater puzzle that Gansey is after…
Thoughts
The story starts exactly where The Raven Boys left off, ad we focus on Ronan mainly in this book, and find out more about his family, and their legacy.
I enjoyed this book, and I enjoyed reading more about Ronan and finding out more about his family, as they were really only hinted at in the previous book.
Due to the events of the previous book there seems to be a lot of tension between Gansey and Adam after the events of the previous book, which do somewhat get resolved near the end of the book.
I loved Gansey, even though he doesn't get much time in this book, he is still there and he is one of my favorites out of the boys.
I also liked Ronan, yes he is a very stoic character, but we got to read more into his life and we actually got to see more of him.
What can I say about Maggie Stiefvater's writing, her books are just so easy to read, and you just end up flying through them as they are just written that well.
Overall, a really great book and I can't wait to read the next one in the series.
