Shay has followed Xander and joined his mysterious scientific cult at their remote Scottish compound. She's desperately searching for Callie, who went missing before the start of the epidemic that kills 95% of cases and leaves a tiny number of survivors with astonishing new powers.
Can Shay uncover the truth about the origins of the epidemic, find Callie and perhaps even rekindle her relationship with Kai? Or will Xander's grand plans destroy them all forever?

Thoughts

The story follows on from where Deception left off and we follow Shay as she is on a plane heading towards Community, with Xander. While Kai is with Freja trying to get to Kai's mum.

I really enjoyed this book and found it to be a great ending to the series, everything was tied up quite neatly and there were no previous questions left unanswered.

I love Teri Terry's writing, the writing just flows so well and even though we are following different perspectives you are still able to follow the narrative.

I found the ending of this book, such genius and never expected it to go where it went, the market nowadays is saturated with so much of the same story, so to read something that is so different to what is already out there makes a refreshing change.

I love Shay and Kai as characters, and I loved that after the events of the last book their relationship was still strained by the end but they were working through it, like a real relationship.

Overall a great ending to the series, and a great series overall. I am now going to start the Slated series by Teri Terry, as I need more of this author's writing.
