In a world where the lower classes must endure ten years of forced service to unfairly advantaged, magically powered rulers, a teenage boy dreams of rebellion, his older sister yearns for love and knowledge, and a dangerous young aristocrat seeks to remake the world with his dark gifts. In Bright Ruin, the final book in the trilogy set in modern-day England, our heroes will lead a revolution that will transform--or destroy--the world.

Thoughts (SPOILERS)

The book follows on where Tarnished City left off following Abi and Gavar on his motorbike and Luke and Silyen as they travel with Dog.
Again with the other books, each chapter is from a different point of view, and this is easily followed as each chapter is named for the character that we are currently following.

I found myself again pulled in by this book, and falling in love with its characters again, I loved the relationship that forms between Silyen and Luke and really wanted to see more of this rather than just the smidge we were shown at the end of the book.

I found the ending such a twist especially the demise of Midsummer, I did expect her to survive the trilogy and end up helping rebuild after the revolution, so this really did come as a massive shock.
I did find Gavar's defection a bit predictable as he really does love his daughter and really feared for her life when she was older due to her status.

I found all the questions from the last book to be all tied up in this book, but it left the ending very open-ended and I really want to know more about Luke and where he has disappeared to.

Overall a great ending to a series, and I still want more.
