These Royals will ruin you…

From mortal enemies to unexpected allies, two teenagers try to protect everything that matters most.

Ella Harper has met every challenge that life has thrown her way. She’s tough, resilient, and willing to do whatever it takes to defend the people she loves, but the challenge of a long-lost father and a boyfriend whose life is on the line might be too much for even Ella to overcome.

Reed Royal has a quick temper and even faster fists. But his tendency to meet every obstacle with violence has finally caught up with him. If he wants to save himself and the girl he loves, he’ll need to rise above his tortured past and tarnished reputation.

No one believes Ella can survive the Royals. Everyone is sure Reed will destroy them all.
They may be right.

With everything and everyone conspiring to keep them apart, Ella and Reed must find a way to beat the law, save their families, and unravel all the secrets in their Twisted Palace.

Thoughts

The book starts straight of where Broken Prince left off, and just jumps straight in.

I felt that the story flowed well and we saw more perspectives in this book (with the first one it was from Ella's POV, the second was from Reed's POV), you also see how the events of Ella leaving is still affecting Easton, and how much he is going off of the rails.

This book seemed to be quite busy, everything was happening, with Easton going off of the rails, Reed being arrested for murder, and Ella and the Royals dealing with the return of Steve. You would think that the story would be bitty, but I was suprised by how much it actually flowed and blended all together.

Through the story you do find yourself questioning Reed's innocence, you want to believe him but he lied about seeing Brooke on the night in question, and even Ella starts to have doubts.

I found Steve to be the most annoying character that you just wanted to give him a slap (which I think Watt's was going for), so I was glad by the end for him to get his comeuppance.

Overall a good entry into the series, again not my favourite of the series but it was still a good book that I finished rather quickly.
