The fourth story, "The Traitor," runs parallel with the events of Divergent, giving readers a glimpse into the decisions of loyalty - and love - that Tobias makes in the weeks after he meets Tris Prior. Thoughts

I found this added some insight into Four's life before he became Dauntless, and his initiation into Dauntless, I also enjoyed reading how his rivalry with Eric came about.

The stories are easy to follow, and they all flow into one, this really could have been made into a long novel rather then a bunch of short stories as they all just flowed together that well.

This would be good to read before Divergent as you find out more about Four, but that's if you don't want to be surprised by Four during the series.

Overall a good short story collection to read for fans of Divergent
