When Claire Danvers learnt that her college town was run by vampires, she did what any intelligent, self-preserving student would do: she applied for a transfer and stocked up on garlic. The transfer is no longer an option, but the garlic may come in handy.
Now Claire has pledged herself to Amelie, the most powerful vampire in town. The protection her contract secures does little to reassure her friends. All of a sudden people are turning up dead, a stalker resurfaces from Claire's past, and an ancient bloodsucker extends a chilling invitation for private lessons in his secluded home.

Thoughts

I found this a great addition to the Morganville Vampires series, and we are introduced to a new character, and you have Michael as a vampire after being change by Amelie previously.

I found Claire's character growth to be going quite steadily, she was a naïve young girl in the first book, and has started to get a bit of a back bone and starts to be a smart ass to the vampires.

The best character in this book is Myrnin, I absolutely love Myrnin, and found him to be so eccentric, and his view on humans hilarious (I did find myself laughing out loud).

I have found this series to be highly addictive, as they are such quick reads and I just seem to devour them.
