Goodreads Blurb

Honoria Smythe-Smith is a bad violinist in a traditional family performance she does not look forward to but will smile through for kinship. She trailed around after her brother and Marcus his best friend since childhood. Now the Earl of Chatteris, Marcus sprains his ankle in Honoria's own carefully dug hole. After they tease, they may fall in love.

Thoughts

It has been a while since I actually read a Julia Quinn book, and after reading this one, I do wonder why it took me so long to read another one.

I really enjoyed this and couldn't believe how long it took me to read a Julia Quinn book. I loved how easy this story flowed and it just seemed such an easy read.

I found Honoria to be such a great character, she still had a bit of a backbone (even though this was set in the Regency period and women at that time weren't known to show any sort of backbone), I found it quite refreshing.

With the relationship between Honoria and Marcus, I found that it did progress very naturally and wasn't just one of Insta-Love, they were friends first before any feelings developed.

Overall a really quick read, and one I absolutely loved, and yes I have read the rest of the series so watch out for the rest of the reviews from the series.
